T's bounce back to 'double' Cwmcarn United

After the disaster show of the previous week, plucky T's bounced back, not only from that defeat but also a 8 point deficit to do the double over Cwmcarn United.

Earlier in the season it was the Cwmcarn scrum which put the T's under pressure but this time it was the failings of their own lineout (even though Cwmcarn had the slight nudge in the scrums, which led to their try) which hamstrung their efforts. Many a promising field position was wasted as the home side went through 4 lineout throwers before settling.

As it was, the game was won by two fantastic counter attack tries. The first after opportunist Baz spotted a gap on the short side by a defensive ruck. He put away Frenchie who after realising he didn't have the gas down the left wing recycled. The ball was worked to the right wing where Morgan finished well.

Again Frenchie had a hand in the second, breaking through the centre (where else?) and putting a fine pass (sacre bleu!!!) into Donk who touched down under the posts.

The T's threatened a third but were happy to get back on the horse and see the game out and go back into clear 3rd place in the 3D East table. Honourable mention must go to our regular match reporter Rev who did a fine job at tighthead and still got around the field for his carries and ruck work. Bravo! Man of the match however was returning scrum half Josh Williams who had a fine all round game.
